Bye Bye 2016, hello 2017. I can’t say December ended the way I was hoping, as far as my blog’s traffic report. I told you in November how I thought the secret.google.trump spam may affected my google analytics report for November. Boy, was I right. My December traffic report is from December 2-31st. I caught the secret.google.trump spam on December 1st. So I created a new filter and had to eliminate data from December 1st. I’ll also show November and October’s traffic reports for comparison because there are significant differences due to the spam.
December Traffic Report – Dec 2nd thru 31st
- Unique page views – 275 (-55%)
- Bounce rate – 23.75% (+340%)
- Sessions – 160 (-71%)
- Users – 115 (-65%)
November Traffic Report – With Trump Spam
- Unique page views – 611 (+65%)
- Bounce rate – 5.39% (-78%)
- Sessions – 557 (+122%)
- Users – 335 (+139%)
October Traffic Report – For Comparison
- Unique page views – 371
- Bounce rate – 25%
- Sessions – 250
- Users – 140
Social Media Goals For December
I made a return to social media in December, with a goal of getting more followers on my social sites. I made my biggest push on twitter with the help of Crowdfireapp and Instagram.
- Twitter – November at 578 – Goal 600 – Now at 641
- Facebook – November at 80 – Goal 90 – Now at 80
- YouTube – Goal 30 Followers – Now at 24
- Pinterest – November at 70 – Goal 90 – Now at 73
