Happy New Year! 2017!  Just the sound of it still seems so far off in the distance. When I think of time, I tend to generalize it in terms of movies, music and tv shows.  For example Prince’s 1999 or The Goonies or Moonlighting with Bruce Willis. They all came out during my early teen years. 2017 seemed eons away. Yet, I feel a gut punch when I think Y to K, remember that, happened 17 years ago? It goes so fast, that to recognize my accomplishments or wins, I’ve started to write monthly goals. So here we go, a recap of my monthly goals for December and 2016 and my blogging goals for 2017. Blogging Goals for 2017

December Recap

  • Exercise – I exercised at lease 3 times per week. 2 x per week with Wendy and 1 day skiing. We ski Sundays at Mt Rose Ski Tahoe.
  • Diet – I lost a whole pound in December and then put it back on Christmas week. I will take this as a win, because I am exactly where I started at the beginning of the month. I’ve made it to my weekly Weight Watchers weigh-in. You can follow me weekly on YouTube
  • Reading – Finished Girl on the TrainLoved it and would recommend it.
  • Start Working on a Business Plan for my Blog– This is still a work in progress
  • Editorial Calendar – This is also still a work in progress.

Recap of Goals for 2016

  • Build upon my 2015 successes – (cooking, networking, anxiety and parenting) I am cooking more and eating out less. I made some good friends at a conference last January and I’ve made a conscious effort to foster those relationships. My anxiety is starting to become a distant memory. Starting! Not there yet, but I’m working on it. I’m also really make a conscious effort to be more in the moment with my kids. They are only young once and I want to create some great memories for them.
  • Live a healthier lifestyle and exercise more – I’m on the right path
  • Focus on my happiness and that of my family. – Communication is key here! My husband and I had several “check-ins” with each other over the course of the year. These are healthy and have done wonders for our family.
  • Foster real relationships and dump the ones that are poisonous. – This was difficult for me. Friendship goes both ways and my friendship has value. Those who take it for granted or those who are friendly for a purpose are out!
  • Build my blog and focus on Affiliate Marketing. – This is a work in progress
